Schedule:

Sundays, 5pm-8pm, O'Gorman High School

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote the mission of Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools
• Supervise students in the classroom, assist with tutoring, study skills, organization, testing, and/other areas
• Assist the teacher in teaching, managing and evaluating students
• Communicate with parents as directed by the classroom teacher
• Assist the classroom teacher with classroom management
• Attend meetings between parents & students as needed
• Administer various assessments
• Perform various duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Classic Language Content (Greek, Latin, etc.)
• Exhibit the core values of Bishop O^†Gorman Catholic Schools: Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity
• Catholic school experience helpful
• Planning and organizational skills
• Understanding of children’s academic and social development
• Willingness and ability to act as an outstanding personal witness to the Catholic faith and religion by living both one’s professional and personal life in accordance with the doctrines and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, as embodied in the various documents of the Roman Catholic Church, including, without limitation, the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church
• Flexibility
• Comfort level with high school curriculum
• Willingness and ability to effectively make known the Catholic Church’s teachings through the varied ministry activities expected of this position
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
