Job Description:

• Promote the mission of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools
• Public Relations:  Answer telephone, schedule appointments, maintain a warm and calm atmosphere, and distribute materials. Create newsletters, parent letters, reminders & signs.
• Bookkeeping:  Prepare payroll sheets, print ledger and account receivable reports. Responsible for counting, collecting and depositing money for various functions. Maintain school checking acct. & manage purchase orders.
• Files:  Create, sort, process and maintain student files, maintain confidentiality
• Supplies:  Order office and classroom supplies, maintain inventory, supply lists
• Mail:  Sort and distribute mail, purchase and utilize postage
• First Aid:  Administer as appropriate, maintain accident reports, contact parents; medication log and keep track of meds (ADHD- controlled substance); take med aide training or similar program
• Attendance:  Record student absences and tardies, assist with lunch count. Record teacher absences, schedule substitutes as needed, and maintain records of substitutes.
• Correspondence:  Prepare and distribute as requested by principal; complete forms
• Communication:  Facilitate communication between Principal & teachers as well as between faculty & parents. Assist with communication between Business Office & parents.
• Volunteers:  Collect necessary forms from volunteers and assist Human Resources with volunteer spreadsheet
• Books/Materials:  When Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools change publishers or change a textbook to a new copyright, complete the forms that were sent by the textbook coordinator.  Declare on the form all SFPS properties on hand are obsolete and send form(s) to the proper department within SFPS. When given the ok to destroy or give old books to students see that all books have been removed from the building. Forms are sent back to SFPS declaring books are no longer in use at the school.

• Perform various duties as assigned
