Job Description:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Latin language and literature lessons that bring the classics to life and encourage active learning and critical thinking
• Create lesson plans and instructional frameworks aligned with curriculum maps and academic standards, focusing on Latin grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context.
• Provide diverse learning materials, resources, and teaching methods to address the varied needs of students and their academic growth
• Assign , evaluate, and grade classroom, homework, tests, and projects while offering timely and constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student progress
• Stay current on development in Latin education, teaching strategies, and resources, integrating these into classroom practices as appropriate
• Foster a positive and respectful learning environment by supervising students, maintaining discipline, and offering support to those with academic challenges
• Participate in school events, department meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and fundraisers while promoting the Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools mission and upholding professionalism and confidentiality

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
• State certification

• Knowledge of relevant technology
